Conducting concussion research and clinical practice interventions for a positive impact on patient health.
Founded in 2018 with support from the U-M Biosciences Initiative, the Concussion Center fosters collaboration between diverse faculty and staff from across the university in the relentless pursuit of concussion research, clinical care, and educational excellence. The center conducts multi-disciplinary research that will answer crucial questions about concussion prevention, identification, diagnosis, management, and outcomes to advance patient health and support outreach and engagement programs that keep our communities healthy.

Concussion and long-term neurological health impacts
Nearly 4 million concussions occur each year in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified concussion as a significant public health concern. A new brief authored by Steve Broglio, Ph.D., A.T.C., professor of kinesiology, and director, U-M Concussion Center, explores the current science of long-term neurological health impacts.
