The center aims to use interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approaches to improve health, and make healthcare practice, policy, and work more just, equitable, and humane. The Center includes the former Center for the History of Medicine, the Medical Arts Program, and the Program in Health, Spirituality and Religion. It is the home for students in the Medical School Paths of Excellence in Medical Humanities and Ethics.
