Dr. Waljee’s research focuses on the management of medical and surgical therapies in inflammatory bowel disease, the quality of life issues faced by those with these chronic conditions, and the use of novel machine learning techniques as decision support systems. He is working on the development of “targeted-prevention" prediction tools and decision support systems to facilitate the delivery of timely and cost-effective therapy for “High Expense, Low Prevalence (HELP)” diseases, with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease.
