Dr. Wolfson is a mixed-methods health policy researcher whose research focuses primarily on policies, programs and environmental factors that influence food and beverage choices, diet quality, food insecurity and obesity. Her overall goal is to conduct research that informs policies and programs that help make healthy food choices easy to achieve, particularly for vulnerable populations at high risk for food insecurity and diet-related diseases. Firearm injury prevention is a second area of interest, particularly the formulation and implementation of gun violence prevention policies, media framing of firearm policies, public opinion regarding firearm violence, ownership and policies.
