Dr. Jeon’s research focuses on designing mathematical and statistical models to address important public health related questions. Her interests include evaluating the impact of risk factors on various cancers, evaluating the efficacy of cancer screening to reduce cancer incidence and mortality, assessing the association between environmental risk factors or genetic variants and colorectal cancer, analyzing smoking patterns and related lung cancer risk, and developing models to evaluate the impact of tobacco control policy on lung cancer risk. She has also participated in a collaborative project to evaluate various lung cancer screening scenarios on reduction of lung cancer death, which provided evidence used by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force in developing lung cancer screening recommendations.
