
IHPI members are strong contributors to U-M’s overall research portfolio, with health services research (HSR) consistently comprising approximately 10% of all research spending. Each year, a number of members receive funding awards that are among the largest across all U-M schools, divisions, and departments. Top 10 New Projects Awards - Fiscal Year 2021
As of January 2021, nine IHPI members received funding awards for HSR that were featured in the Top 10 New Projects summary of the U-M Regents’ Research Reports. All of these awards exceed $1 million, with the majority over $3 million. Notably, two awardees were affiliated with IHPI’s R01 Boot Camp – one as a participant and one as a coach.
