Dr. Lewis’ research interests include the epidemiology and public health of childhood respiratory disease, particularly the interplay of biologic, environmental, and social factors in the development and exacerbation of asthma. She is involved in community-based participatory research (CBPR) to develop and implement a public health action plan to improve air quality and health in Detroit.
