Biography

Dr. McCullagh’s program of research focuses on the prevention of negative health effects due to noise exposure, particularly among farm operators and farm youth. Using randomly-controlled trials and NIH funding, Dr. McCullagh has developed and tested several novel interventions to promote use of hearing conservation strategies among this high-risk population nationwide. She is also active in influencing policymakers at the federal, state, and local level to develop effective noise abatement policies.
