Dr. Lisabeth’s research focuses on stroke epidemiology and on understanding racial, ethnic, and gender disparities in the outcomes of stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases. Her work aims to inform novel strategies to eliminate these disparities and improve stroke risk and outcomes in all populations. Much of her research examines the risks of stroke and predictors of recovery among Mexican-Americans.
