Dr. Gagnier’s research program focuses on clinical and methodological research related to musculoskeletal conditions and clinical care. His research interests include randomized controlled trial methods and reporting, systematic review methods and reporting, patient reported outcome measures, health measurement scales, patient safety initiatives, surgical safety checklist implementation and effects, the efficacy of orthopedic interventions, particularly for rotator cuff disorders, and the properties of outcome measurement scales for patients with rotator cuff injuries, complementary and alternative medicine, and clinical nutrition.
