Dr. Hendren's research focuses on measuring and improving the quality of surgical care for colorectal cancer. She also studies the effects of regional collaboration on general surgery outcomes across the state of Michigan, ways to better understand and reduce short- and long-term surgical complications, racial and socioeconomic disparities in American cancer care, and the quality of life of cancer survivors.
