Biography

Dr. Costa’s health services research focuses on identifying ways to improve outcomes of critically ill adults by optimizing the organization and management of critical care. Specifically, she is interested in ways to improve the structure and function of the ICU interprofessional care team to facilitate high-quality critical care. Her work integrates approaches from epidemiology, health services and systems science to provide novel solutions to critical care delivery issues. Additionally, she serves on IHPI's Early Career Faculty Advisory Council (ECFAC).
