At the Survey Research Center at the Institute for Social Research, Dr. Brown is director of the Panel Study of Income Dynamics and a co-Investigator with the Health and Retirement Study. Dr. Brown's research focuses on measurement error in survey data, incentives provided by pension plans, early-retirement "windows" and merit pay for workers nearing retirement, and gender wage differences for part time work. His research has also focused on topics such as compensating differentials, effects of minimum wage laws and of EEO policies, the determinants of enlistment and re-enlistment in the military, and the relationship between employer size and labor market outcomes.
