HIV/AIDS researchers and community organizers from across Michigan will come together on Nov. 5-6 to connect and discuss their existing projects and potential collaborations.
Convened by IHPI member and U-M Obstetrics & Gynecology assistant professor Okeoma Mmeje, M.D., the symposium will include speakers from the NIH and the City of Detroit Dept. of Health and Wellness Promotion, as well as multiple department at U-M and other universities. IHPI member Jose Bauermeister will moderate a panel on HIV prevention, which will include IHPI member Golfo Tzilos. IHPI member Timothy R.B. Johnson will given overview of U-M involvement in HIV work globally.
