Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Maternal Infant Strategy Group (MISG), in collaboration with regional partners (like Michigan Medicine), are hosting town hall meetings across the state to garner community input and support for the 2019-2022 Mother Infant Health Improvement Plan (MIHIP). Goals of these meetings include introducing the plan, collecting feedback from the community to determine priorities and barriers to successful program implementation, and bridging community partners to work to together improve health outcomes for mothers and infants in the state of Michigan.
This event will be broadcast from Henry Ford Health System to a satellite location at the University of Michigan to facilitate the inclusion of voices from the Ann Arbor community. A short introduction to the event will be broadcast from Henry Ford Health System and then attendees will break into small groups with representatives from MDHHS to provide input on the proposed programming and initiatives.
Interdisciplinary representation including physician, nursing, social work, and community partners caring for moms are all welcome.
Dinner will be served at 5:30pm and remarks start at 5:45pm.
